This band just seemingly came out of nowhere and now they're performing on Fallon. Its unreal. I can't even really describe why these songs are so good other than the fact that they're extremely catchy. The lyrics are mostly short phrases that get repeated throughout but Shanny's delivery is so smooth, you don't even really notice. Definitely a great dance album and be sure to check out their live shows before they really blow up.

Required listening for any fan of pop music. This reissue adds a lot of bonus tracks from this era which are also great. There's so much love and joy put into this album, its hard not to smile when you listen to it. So many pop artists today have taken inspiration from Carly, do yourself a favor and check it out. You've probably already heard most of it if you've ever walked around a mall.

While this has only gotten a digital release (as of writing this), it's still noteworthy to put on this list. The band has finally released sounds from sessions that used to be only of legends. Listening to the demos, you get insight into what the two would've sounded like together -- and why those combined forces may have (of may have not) worked out. All profits from buying these sessions on Fugazi's bandcamp goes to Albini's charity, so the album itself is even for a great cause.

While RSD can be oversaturated Taylor Swift 45s and Chappell Roan colored editions, it's easy for some real gems to slip through the cracks if left unnoticed. This is such an instance. A magnificently jam-packed compilation featuring hard hitting guitars with soft and loving lyricism. Power Pop is a genre where meaning has changed overtime, but this compilation serves as a proud example of what it's stood for. And don't worry, just because it was an RSD title, we still have a few copies in our Various rock sections ;) (p.s. The Nastyfacts song 'Drive My Car' is a 200+ dollar 45 so the compilation is worth it just for that song.)
