September 23rd (CD)
William Basinski
A piece that was originally recorded in 1982 but unearthed in 2024. It’s literally just 40+ minutes of a repeated piano line over spooky drones yet somehow it evokes so much emotion. Everytime I put it on I end up listening to it from start to finish which doesn’t happen often with long pieces like this. Only the disintegration loops master could pull that off.

Grapes Upon The Vine (LP)
TV Girl
TV Girl goes gospel! It seems like most of the band’s fanbase found this record pretty underwhelming… but for whatever reason I loved it on first listen. It reminds me so much of Moby’s “Play” with the use of old blues samples and soulful backing vocals. In all honesty, this is probably my favorite record of theirs next to “French Exit.” Don’t skip it!
