The legendary heavy metal frontman Ozzy Osbourne (aka the Prince of Darkness) has died at age 76, just two weeks after reuniting with Black Sabbath for their "Back to the Beginning" festival in Birmingham, England.

We were incredibly honored to host two sold out album signings with Ozzy. He first visited Amoeba Hollywood back in 2010 for his solo album Scream and most recently in February 2020 for his solo album Ordinary Man -- one of our last in-store events at the old location before the pandemic.

We had a chance to sit down with Ozzy when he visited us on Father's Day in 2010. We talked about the Beatles, Black Sabbath, the term "heavy metal," Frank Zappa & more!
