Amoeba Review

English indie band My New Band Believe's self-titled debut is beautiful, thoughtful, and unlike anything out there. Fronted by Cameron Picton (black midi), the band's sound was inspired by Bert Jansch's guitar work for Pentangle and Judee Sill's all-encompassing pop. Picton brings in a rotating cast of collaborators and together they weave tracks that are fascinating from a storytelling and lyrical perspective, with stop-you-in-your-tracks lovely musical compositions. An evocative and insightful album that creates a world all its own.
