YHWH Nailgun
Amoeba Review
YHWH Nailgun makes noise rock you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley. Hell, make it "wouldn't want to meet in the liminal space between life and death" because their latest, Magazine, feels like an uncanny and abrasive thing, not just touching the veil but poking it. The lyrics go into fire and brimstone territory, replete with visions of God and the devil, serpents and blood. The music itself is bruising, boundary-pushing, experimental, and sometimes strangely beautiful. If you like industrial noise that feels like it comes from the realm of Swans, Cabaret Voltaire, and Neubaten, Magazine will sound like a dark dream come true.
