Joe Strummer 002 features remastered editions of the three studio albums by his band from 1999 until his death in 2002: Rock Art and the X-Ray Style, Global a Go-Go, and Streetcore. The box set includes new liner notes, interviews, notes and drawings from Strummer’s archive, as well as demo versions and unreleased tracks, such as the Dylan-esque “The Road to Rock ‘N’ Roll.” The immaculate collection is a reminder of the extensive creative output of The Clash frontman, as well as the effectiveness of The Mescaleros’ rockin’ blend of reggae, punk, funk, jazz and more.
