Amoeba Review

Here Because Of Hope is an appropriate name for Ezra Collective's joyful, vivacious new album. The album explores the trajectory of the Black musical experience: from Africa to the Caribbean to London, which Ezra Collective calls home. In these songs, the band takes a look at why this music, born out of pain, sounds so warm and joyous. The answer they alight on is hope, the long-held belief that better is possible. The songs are profound and beautiful, soaring with optimism and jubilance. This is an album that just feels good to sit down and listen to. Ezra Collective have done something remarkable here.
