Turnover's post-punk iteration gets better and better. Down on Earth is a heart-in-your-throat, wistful, dreamy album with some truly fantastic songs. The band incorporates elements of Britpop, dream pop, shoegaze...even a bit of hazy Americana. It's easy to get lost in the mood, and just when you do, Turnover comes rip-roaring back with propulsive drums, driving guitars, and staccato verses.
