Twenty years after the original release of My Morning Jacket's Z the album still has the power to stun. The 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition features tracks remastered from the original tapes by Emily Lazar, plus fourteen previously unreleased outtakes and demos, as well as reworked artwork with until now unpublished photos. This is a sweeping album, with quiet and delicate moments, folksy jam-outs, and melancholy longing. The sound is impeccable: layered, thoughtful, and immersive enough to get lost in. An already excellent album with some seriously awesome bonuses.
