Identical twins Farrell Randal "Randy" Sklar and Jason Nathan Sklar, known as the Sklar Brothers, are American comedians, actors, writers, and podcast hosts. The two grew up in suburban St. Louis and attended college at the University of Michigan before moving to New York to hone their stand-up comedy skills in local comedy clubs. Their first TV experience came in 1997, when both brothers wrote for MTV's short-lived comedy hybrid program, Apt. 2F. Four years later, the brothers had another major career breakthrough when they became pit reporters on Comedy Central's Battlebots. They also appeared in their first Comedy Central Presents stand-up special in 2001. In 2004, the Sklars released their debut stand-up comedy LP, Poppin' the Hood! That same year, the duo appeared on ESPN's Mystery Science Theatre 3000-style comedy/sports program, Cheap Seats. The show aired for four years on ESPN Classic.
In 2010, the Sklar Brothers launched the weekly Sklarbro Country podcast, featuring guests such as Jon Hamm, Patton Oswalt, and Richard Simmons. Four years later, Netflix premiered the Sklar Brothers' first one-hour stand-up special, What Are We Talking About, which was also released as a comedy LP. The Sklars have made myriad special appearances on podcasts and TV shows, with some highlights from their acting careers on Better Call Saul, Entourage, CSI, Law & Order, Grey's Anatomy, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Their popular sports/comedy podcast View From the Cheap Seats is available now on the Starburns Podcasting Network.
