The acoustic version of her amazing Vulnicura album, her most outstanding work since Homogenic. Difficult to listen to, best listened to alone with headphones. You will cry.
This “acoustic” version of Bjork’s heartwrenching ninth studio album eschews the electronic beats of the original and is composed only of strings and voice. On it, Bjork plays the viola organista, an instrument devised by Leonardo da Vinci that is a keyboard-based string instrument. Given the beauty of the original work, this stringed version is also a must-hear.
