The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1 [Glow-In-The-Dark Splatter Vinyl] (LP)
Lord Huron
Amoeba Review
Lord Huron's Cosmic Selector Vol 1 is some of the most fascinating work of their career. Listening to the album is akin to reading a novel or watching a film: The band have crafted an entire world, layered and ornate, lonesome and questing. The melodies evoke long, winding desert roads, traveled alone and without a map — the lyrics mirror that sense of moving forward, not quite knowing if you're doing it right, but knowing for sure you've left some broken pieces of yourself (or someone else's heart) on the wayside. A cinematic, deeply moving, and thoughtful album, it's the type of record that reveals more with each spin.
