The CD Version of The First Two Records (CD)
Bikini Kill
Amoeba Review
Joanna Ricco 05/31/2010
Aptly named, the first full-length release by riot grrrl punk outfit Bikini Kill is truly just that, a combination of both their self-titled EP as well as their half of the split EP Yeah Yeah Yeah that they had released with Huggy Bear the year before. Definitely a down and dirty, passionate assemblage of their work, this album delivers no promises of mind-blowing musicianship and is instead an album about the process of creation. The accompanying booklet includes all of the radical feminist lyrics for which the band is known, as well as additional writing by Kathleen Hanna.
