STRFKR's Parallel Realms is one of their strongest yet. These are some absolutely cracking songs, with catchy-as-hell hooks, riveting guitars, and woozy vocals. The mood is playful, experimental, and upbeat; The songs feel contemporary and compelling, with elements of '80s synthpop and, naturally, early '00s indie dance. STRFKR continues to evolve as a band and Parallel Realms finds them showing off their impeccable pop sensibilities. A super fun, kaleidoscopic album with real sonic depth.
