The overall vibe and instrumentation on Paint a Room reference the subtle grooves of 1970s singer/songwriters. “Wishing Well” stands out in the midst of the set for its jangle-pop liveliness. “Sunever” is another highlight thanks to its intriguing melody and rhythm, while “Night or Day” is a sunny gem with a strong bassline.
