The Nimrods movie chronicles the exploits of three young dudes on a cross-country road trip/mission to achieve their dream of opening for their idols, Green Day. The excitement and attitude of the film carries effortlessly into the soundtrack, with twenty-two tracks by Green Day themselves, plus selections from The Paradox, Ultra Q, Mckenna Grace (one of the stars of the film), and Analog Dogs (the fictional band of buddies the film's about). Among the Green Day standout tracks are four previously unreleased concert recordings from LA's Palladium and one totally new track “I’m Never Gonna R.I.P." Nimrods is worth it for these newly available tracks alone: "I'm Never Gonna R.I.P" in particular is infused with a classic '77 punk feel through the modern punk legends' snotty, upbeat lens. Loads of fun, loads of hits.
