Mule [White Vinyl] (LP)
Orville Peck
Amoeba Review
Mule tells the story of Orville Peck's journey through hell. This is an album about addiction, loss, and love. It's also an album about the challenges of making it to sobriety and rebuilding yourself on the shaky ground of the other side. Peck's lyrics are vulnerable and raw, his storytelling both heartbreaking and rousing. The songs blend Americana, bluegrass, and country elements with compassion and humor. Mule is a fine album indeed, a testament to Orville Peck's artistry and humanity.
