Simon Raymonde (Cocteau Twins) and Richie Thomas (Dif Juz) hit their stride on their second album as Lost Horizons: In Quiet Moments. With the help of guest artists like Penelope Isles, Marissa Nadler, Porridge Radio and many others, the album is intriguingly dreamy and constantly in flux. “I Woke Up With An Open Heart (feat. The Hempolics)” is a clear highlight, with its jazzy rhythm, soulful horns and spacey atmosphere. “One For Regret (feat. Porridge Radio)” is another strong track -- a gently driving, post-punk number. “Marie (feat. Marissa Nadler)” has the lush airiness of an Angel Olsen song, enhanced by busier percussion.
