What a treasure trove Images Of Life is. Detroit's criminally underrecognized songwriter Ted Lucas gets a fantastic retrospective via this 3-LP set. The first LP spans 1965-1970, a psychedelic series of songs from Lucas' bands Spike Drivers, the Misty Wizards, and the Horny Toads. The second LP covers 1970-1974, filled with warm, folksy songs. The final LP is 1979's Impossible Love, a "lost" album that finds Lucas in the smoother waters of yacht rock-esque sounds. A vital, inviting, beautifully made collection.
