They may be teenagers, but San Fernando band Liily sounds as confident and insouciantly cool as a band that has been headlining indie music festival mainstages for years. The EP I Can Fool Anybody In This Town is a self-assured intro to the band, featuring frenetic alt-rock guitars, fierce post-punk percussion, and ear-worm melodies. The songwriting is excellent, with a track for every mood/need — there are head banging party moments as well as ominously melancholy brooders. Liily seems poised to take over the world (and the airwaves).
