Amoeba Review

Sometimes you need to clap and yell, sometimes you need to groove, and sometimes you need to be still and take in the emotion of a song. The Revivalists make sure you do all three on their latest, Get It Honest. The NOLA balladeers occasionally veer away from their usual folksy sound into soul and R&B territory, horns and all. Songs like "Bad Bad Bad" has a Springsteen-ey gruff soul feel to it, while the album closer, "Lay It On Me," ends things with a subdued plea.
