Gallagher’s firing on all cylinders with this one. “Better Days,” with the repeated phrase “believe me, yeah” is a sweeping, cinematic celebration of hope and survival. “Everything’s Electric” is a catchy as hell, bittersweet goodbye with a deliciously woozy chorus. The title track is one of Gallagher’s best; it feels like a Britpop future classic, with full-bodied gospel-style backing vocals, powerful emotional crescendos, and searing guitars played out over dreamy piano. Featuring Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend.
