Batakari (LP)
Ata Kak
Amoeba Review
Ata Kak makes music unlike anything else out there. Flying under the radar of western music for years, the now cult fave Ghanaian artist's profile has grown since Awesome Tapes from Africa posted about his wildly original, at-the-time little known 1994 debut. Now, for the first time since that '94 release, he's back with a new album, Batakari. We've got it on deluxe green vinyl and it's a fun and impressive fusion of rap, left-field electronic, and highlife. A must-hear for anyone who enjoys genre-smashing tunes and having a good time.
