British songwriter and producer Sohn is back with his first album in five years, Trust. Out on 4AD, the album reflects Sohn’s changing life circumstances, as a young father, as a relatively new transplant from Los Angeles to the pine forests of Catalunya, Spain. Sohn seems to have found a quiet joy and optimism through these evolutions; the tracks feel light, contemplative, and almost always on the verge of ecstasy.
