S.F.W. [1994] (BLU)
Jefery Levy

Synopsis
S.F.W. features Academy Award-winner (Best Actress, I Walk The Line) and nominee (Best Actress, Wild), Reese Witherspoon in one of her earliest film roles.
Based on the novel by Andrew Wellman, S.F.W. stars Stephen Dorf (Somewhere) as Cliff Spab, the disaffected youth taken hostage by the terrorist group known as S.P.L.T. Image. After 36 days in captivity as a stand-off between the hostage takers and the police drags on, Cliff's indifference to the situation and his possible death brings national focus to his catch phrase "So F _ _ _ing What?"
Along with his fellow hostages, best friend Joe (Jack Noseworthy, Event Horizon) and Wendy (Reese Witherspoon, Wild), Cliff becomes a media darling daring to stare down the hostage takers with three words.
S.F.W. is a shrewd and entertaining exploration of societal complacency, the glare of the media spotlight and the exploitation of notoriety for personal gain.
S.F.W. directed by Jefery Levy from a screenplay co-written by Danny Rubin (Groundhog Day) and Levy co-stars Jake Busey (Starship Troopers), Joey Lauren Adams (Bio-Dome) and Pamela Gidley (Thrashin').
