No Way To Relax When You Are On Fire (LP)
Dora Jar

Amoeba Review
The cleverly named Dora Jar makes her album debut with No Way to Relax When You Are On Fire. The singer/songwriter's airy voice is a breath of fresh air in an autotuned world, and her debut offers captivating left-of-center pop like the sparkling title track. "Timelapse" and "She Loves Me" are quirky, catchy songs, the latter punctuated by an outro that features a ticking clock and some gymnastics from Jar's flexible pipes. Here is a distinctive new voice that deserves a listen.
