I quit (CD)
HAIM
Amoeba Review
Get ready to fall in love with an album about falling out of love. HAIM's I quit is filled with killer hooks, addictive melodies, and relatable lyrics. "Take Me Back" is infectious indie pop with a '90s alt-rock sensibility. "Relationships" channels the '90s, too, but this time the band sounds like glossy late 20th century R&B...with a bite. "Down to Be Wrong" is catchy indie rock meets indie pop, deceptively easy-going before taking aim at a failed romance. Heartbreak never sounded as good as it does on this frankly very fun album.
