How The Garden Grows [Multi-Color Explosion Vinyl] (LP)
YVETTE
Amoeba Review
YVETTE's How The Garden Grows is one of the most fascinating albums of the fall. The post-industrial/neo-no wave project of NYC duo Noah Kardos-Fein and Rick Daniel, YVETTE recorded the album in 2016 when the pair had a break from sharing stages with the likes of Lydia Lunch, Liars, Metz, and Thurston Moore, and is now—after a five-year delay—getting released via Western Vinyl. Once you hear the album, however, the long wait for this release is all just backstory. The music itself eclipses the tale, sounding jittery, urgent and ominous. In many ways, it's an ideal soundtrack for 2021, and well worth the wait.
