A newspaper reporter, Pat Wayne, from London is mistaken for a jewel thief on board a luxury liner as she attempts to go undercover in order to get a story on a Hollywood actress who's also on board. Finding herself mixed up with a group of gangsters, Pat find herself under the eye of a shrewd Scotland Yard inspector with whom she gradually falls in love, despite his suspicion that she may be the thief.
