Vincent Price shines in his most sinister role, as a mad doctor who seeks revenge on the fellow physicians who failed to save his wife on the operating table. His method of killing each victim, based on the Old Testament plagues of Egypt (bees, locusts, hail, etc.) makes for gruesomely witty fun. "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" also stars Joseph Cotten, Terry-Thomas, and Virginia North as Vulnavia.
