A Mile South Of Heaven [Bay Pony Color Vinyl] (LP)
Jess Williamson
Amoeba Review
Jess Williamson has a voice made for country music. The Texas-born, LA-based singer's vocals just emanate the bittersweetness of late summer, no matter the season. Her latest, A Mile South Of Heaven, is jam-packed with alt-country and indie folk confessionals, tales painted with indelible images and catchy, wistful choruses. Produced by Shooter Jennings, this is the good stuff for fans of left of the dial Americana and singer-songwriter sounds.
