The Nigerian rock band Etran de L'Air pull no punches on their third album, 100% Sahara Guitar, recording in a professional studio for the first time. The three brothers in the band trade off on instruments, giving their Saharan rock a distinctive flair. Songs like "Ighre Massina" and "Amidinine" are gorgeously intricate, melodic, propulsive tracks that are irresistible for dancing. Powerful grooves drive "Imouha" which hails back to Tuareg rock legends Tinariwen. The overall sound here is joyful and energetic.
