Little Steven’s Underground Garage Showcase
Amoeba San Francisco - November 9th @ 6:00pm
Little Steven's Underground Garage presents three rawkin' bands from across the U.S. live on the Amoeba SF stage on Friday, November 9th at 6pm: New York's Palmyra Delran (members of The Friggs, The Pandoras, The Fuzztones & more), Philadelphia's Soraia, and the Los Angeles powertrio honeychain!
As the founder, songwriter and creative soul of “trashy pop band” The Friggs, Palmyra built a working model for the ideal trash pop girl group. After a solo EP and her debut full-length You Are What You Absorb, Palmyra's new album Come Spy With Me will be released on Wicked Cool Records/The Orchard on November 9th. The record features cameos by Little Steven, Debbie Harry, Kim Shattuck, Paul Collins, Eddie Munoz, Cait O'Riordan, Peter Zaremba, Ben Vaughn, and Genya Ravan among others. Palmyra also hosts a radio show "Palmyra's Trash Pop Shindig" in Little Steven's Underground Garage on SiriusXM.
Soraia epitomizes raw power, unrelenting energy, chaos, and freedom. Their live show frenetic and intensely interactive. The band's chemistry cut over several years of fierce, relentless touring in the dingiest dive to the most massive amphitheater, attracting a worldwide fanbase.
Recently featured in Rolling Stone Magazine's Year in Rock 2017, the band now has six singles and three studio albums, which have achieved heavy rotation on SiriusXM as well as international commercial radio success. Their current album, Dead Reckoning (2017), and newest single, "Still I Rise w/ Trash" (2018), are out now through Wicked Cool Records/The Orchard.
Powertrio from Los Angeles whose latest release, CRUSHED, produced by Kim Shattuck (The Muffs & The Pandoras) was recently released on vinyl on Screaming Apple Records. An infectious blend of power pop, alternative rock, pop punk, and all good things in between.
