California pop-punk pioneers
The Descendents today announced a 2018 North American tour that stretches from April til mid November with tickets going on sale at 10am (PST) this Friday (Feb 16th). The tour, in support of their most recent/seventh studio album
Hypercaffium Spazzinate (2016 on
Epitaph
Records), features drummer
Bill Stevenson, bassist
Karl Alvarez, vocalist
Milo Aukerman, and guitarist
Stephen Egerton. Since 1986 that’s been the consistent lineup of The Descendents who first formed in SoCal in the late 70’s but who have broken up and reformed several times over the decades. With the exception of Milo, three of the band members formed the associated longtime punk group
All back in 1987.
Much like their readily identifiable band logo / caricature of singer Milo
, the music of the The Descendents has become iconic over the years. Releases including the SoCal group's 1982 debut album
