Vinyl Reissues

Some of the biggest and most beloved names in rock music dropped reissues this week. Expect remastered and expanded releases, plus one that's in a whole new audiophile format: Dolby Atmos. It's the first time this high-quality sound format will be commercially available, so it's definitely intriguing. Rediscover some old favorites, delve into the classics, and immerse yourself in deluxe versions of genre-defining albums.

Here's what's hitting our shelves.

Slow Train Coming

Bob Dylan - Slow Train Coming

Originally released in 1979, Dylan's nineteenth studio album has been repressed onto 150-gram vinyl. Heavily influenced by his recent interest in Christianity, the album includes the Top 30 hit "Gotta Serve Somebody."

Shot of Love

Bob Dylan - Shot of Love

Considered the final installment in Dylan's trilogy of LPs drawing on Christian themes, Shot of Love features a hybrid of gospel and rock 'n' roll sounds. Out now on 150-gram vinyl, the album has been singled out as a favorite by U2's Bono.

No Doubt

No DoubtNo Doubt

No Doubt's debut full-length is available on wax for the first time! Out on 180-gram vinyl, the album showcases their early ska sound before they'd break through with 1995's Tragic Kingdom.

Pearl Jam - Ten

There's a whole slew of Pearl Jam releases out today, including a vinyl reissue of their debut album, Ten, and six 7" records: Bushleaguer / Love Boat Captain, I Am Mine / DownLight Years / Soon Forget, Nothing As It Seems / Insignificant, Save You / Other Side, and World Wide Suicide / Life Wasted. Expect to find LPs Binaural, Pearl Jam, and Riot Act in store toward the end of the month.

Automatic for the People

R.E.M. - Automatic for the People

In honor of Automatic's twenty-fifth anniversary, this essential release has been freshly mixed by original producer Scott Litt and engineer Clif Norrellin in the new Dolby Atmos format. Available on 180-gram vinyl, as a deluxe edition CD and a SUPER deluxe edition CD featuring a Blu-ray and a book.
