Is It Now? (CD)
Automatic
Got a sweet tooth for icy, dreamy post-punk electronics? Automatic's Is It Now? is here for you. The LA trio describe their sound as "deviant pop," an apt description for their fusion of New Order-esque synthlines and Stereolab-adjacent washes of sound with krautrock, synth pop, and dance-punk sounds. While writing the album, the band found themselves asking what it meant to experience joy in a world that often feels like it's falling apart. Is It Now? is the answer. Tense and crystalline, atmospheric and haunted, these songs feel both timely and timeless.
The Mystical World of Augustus Pablo: Crucial Cuts (LP)
Augustus Pablo
Taken from The Mystic World of Augustus Pablo: The Rockers Story box set, this compilation highlights the roots reggae and dub artist’s more mystical tracks as well as the classics like “King Tubby’s Meets Rockers Uptown” and rare gems.
Bite Reality (CD)
Cafuné
Cafuné's Bite Reality is an album so good it'll stop you in your tracks. "Attack + Release" is woozy and otherworldly, a trip-hop-inflected number filled with longing and jaw-dropping beauty. "e-Asphyxiation" and "In My Pocket" are perfect indie pop gems with an edge of punk rock bite. "Temporary Lover" (ft. Riovaz) is a bittersweet bop with driving electronic beats and pop sensibilities. The album deals with questions of authenticity and dehumanization in our newly AI-obsessed world; luckily we've got Cafuné to turn the garbage into gold on this wistful, dreamy album.
Dance Called Memory [Clear w/Black & Blue Vinyl] (LP)
Nation Of Language
Nation of Language brings a wistful and dreamy '80s pop sound to their latest, Dance Called Memory . The songs are cathedral-like in sound, shimmering with longing. And while the genre could be loosely defined as post-punk and the atmospherics are tangible, the band's newfound fusion of new romantic, goth, sophistipop, and synthpop sounds unlike anyone else in contemporary music. Dance is filled with dazzling melancholia, a heady album that goes straight to the heart.

The Same Old Wasted Wonderful World (CD)
Motion City Soundtrack
Ten years after their last release, Motion City Soundtrack is back and better than ever. The Same Old Wasted Wonderful World is ultra catchy, with head bangin' riffs and melodic, compelling vocals. Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump and Citizen's Mat Kerekes add extra oomph to the assured, easy-to-love sound of the emo mainstays and cult faves. The result is an exceptional album that will quickly become a favorite. With songwriting this fantastic, Motion City Soundtrack will win over a new generation of fans and give longtime fans a reason to celebrate.
Michelangelo Dying [Bone White Vinyl] (LP)
Cate Le Bon
Cate Le Bon's Michelangelo Dying is almost overwhelming in its beauty. Written in the face of heartache, the album is anything but a downer. Instead it's sensual, heady, enveloping. Shimmering post-punk sounds meet swooning chamber pop melodies and new wave grooves. Lyrical imagery goes straight to the heart while painting vivid worlds. What an entrancing, moving, lovely album this is.
The Sound A Body Makes When It's Still (CD)
Hot Mulligan
Hot Mulligan's The Sound a Body Makes When It's Still will hit the sweet spot for fans of emo and pop-punk. Blistering yet tongue-in-cheek, these tracks are a ferocious and sometimes oddly beautiful exploration of the problems we go through life with — and how our worst challenges are often self-inflicted. The intensity and anguish here serves as a natural counterpoint for the wry observations and melodic choruses. The Sound a Body Makes is one of those albums that's painfully relatable; listening to these songs feels like reuniting with an old friend, albeit one who's not afraid to dish up some tough love.
Here For It All (CD)
Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey returns with Here for It All , her first album since 2018. Carey's stunning voice is silky smooth and sweet as honey, the arrangements are jazzy and soulful and already feel like classics. The legend gets personal on this one, charting her personal journey over the past years and drawing from her life as a mom and an artist. Joining her are some of the hottest names in contemporary music: Anderson .Paak, Shenseea, Kehlani, and The Clark Sisters. Iconic, dazzling, and everything you want from a Mariah Carey release.

Real Warmth (CD)
Joan Shelley
Real Warmth is the perfect title for Joan Shelley's homey, inviting new album. It's also real, unadorned folk: you won't find any stadium-ready stomp claps here, just enchanting, immediate, good old-fashioned storytelling with very contemporary concerns. Real Warmth is a timeless record that fits alongside the work of Gillian Welch or Sandy Denny while carving its own unique niche. A classic in the making, this record is folk music at its very best.
no scope (LP)
Crushed
crushed's debut album no scope is moody, affecting, and gorgeous. For a certain kind of listener, it's also nostalgia-inducing: the duo pulls together the best elements of shoegaze, trip-hop, and '90s alternative rock in these gauzy, poignant songs that feel like an endless autumn afternoon. The lyrics grapple with life choices, despair, and the age old question "was it worth it?" Yet the band also finds resilience, resolution, and a reason to believe in these dusky songs. no scope is a lovely album that makes us excited for more from crushed.
Anyway [Black In Red Vinyl] (LP)
Anamanaguchi
Anamanaguchi is back with Anyway , an ultra-analog album from the pioneering chip-tune indie rockers. Originally conceived as a record about rage, on their first studio album in half-a-decade, the band just found themselves having too much fun. Instead, they explore themes of boredom, loneliness, love, attraction, sadness, paranoia, and (yes) anger — often with a bit of humor and slice-of-life realism thrown in. Recorded on vintage gear with songwriter/guitarist Peter Berkman taking on the role of vocalist, the lively Anyway already feels like a classic indie rock album.
Gush (LP)
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith's Gush is an album with moments of overwhelming beauty and emotion. Desire seems to emanate from "Drip," a track that balances tension and euphoria in each beat. The title track replicates the obsessive nature of being in love, with looped sounds creating a hypnotic whirl punctuated by glitches, echoing vocals, and blissed out synth melodies. The songs are, in part, an attempt to transmit the sensations of Smith's synesthesia, where sound can be seen and felt...and Gush will definitely make you feel the longing and loveliness Smith conveys. A richly-textured, intelligent, and evocative album.
