Eric B & Rakim "Don't Sweat The Technique" (1992)

Eric B & Rakim's 1992 classic hip-hop single "Don't Sweat The Technique" has been revived recently thanks to being featured in two new movies that coincidentally got released on the exact same date last month: March 18th. Both the films Limitless (starring Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish, and Robert De Niro) and the new updated version of The Lincoln Lawyer (starring Matthew McConaughey, Marisa Tomei and Ryan Phillippe) include the song as an integral part of their respective soundtracks and it plays within the first half hour of each new movie.

The original 1992 Eric B & Rakim release was the title track from the legendary hip-hop duo's fourth and last album together. The jazzy flavored song contains memorable, autobiographical lyrics by Rakim (considered by many to be the greatest emcee of all time): "I made my debut in '86 with a melody and a President's mix. And now I stay on target and refuse to miss. And I still make hits."
