Featuring Rotating Styles On The Wheels of Steel A mandala is a mystical spinning wheel, akin to a vinyl record spinning hypnotically on a turntable. Here, MANDALA is Amoeba's weekly in-house DJ series -- the evening when the Amoeba staff take to the stage to spin their favorite tunes! Each MANDALA session is two 90-minute DJ sets, guided only by the far-ranging imagination of the DJs. Started at Amoeba San Francisco in 1998, MANDALA continues every Friday in San Francisco and Wednesday at Amoeba Hollywood. Recent special guest sets have featured the Egyptian Lover, Doc Martin, Z-Trip, and Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore.
