August 8th Magic Trip : Ken Kesey's Search For A Kool Place In 1964, Ken Kesey, famed author of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," set off on a legendary, LSD-fuelled cross-country road trip to the New York World's Fair. Joined by "The Merry Band of Pranksters," he set out to make a documentary about their trip, shooting footage on 16MM, but the film was never finished and the footage has remained virtually unseen until now. Magnolia Pictures presents this special advance screening - the film opens at The Nuart theatre on August 12th.

We'll be screening their long-form video for Make Some Noise (AKA Fight For Your Right Revisted), and the LA debut of the Spike Jonze-directed video for "Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win" – both from their new album Hot Sauce Committee No. 2 (out now on Capitol Records and on sale at Amoeba).
