Louisville’s quirky psych-jam band My Morning Jacket has kept the line of indie rock pretty open for years, and as such have maintained an earned darling status in critical circles while carving out a place in the hearts of their earliest fans (forevermore, particularly for their lives shows). Their sixth long player Circuital is a return to their geographical roots as well as a clinging to their mental bearings, as it was recorded in a church gymnasium in their hometown that seems to bring things full circle for the band in various ways.
