If you have not already been over to Amoeba Music (Hollywood, Berkeley, or San Francisco) this Black Friday weekend (through Sunday 25th) be sure to do so to avail of the many great deals and bargains like turntables on sale, the exclusive Black Friday RSD releases, and all of the releases on this latest hip-hop chart from the San Francisco Amoeba store.  These include Kendrick Lamar's phenomenally popular Good Kid M.A.A.D City which is selling equally well in its DeLuxe CD format (bonus tracks) of the Dr. Dre presented release on Aftermath that has put Compton back on the music map. Meanwhile across the country in NYC Duck Down Records, who have had both a very prolific and successful year to date, are back in the charts again this week with the 9th Wonder and Buckshot collaboration that finds the producer and emcee as the perfect match. The 12 track album includes a couple of guest spots on two different tracks: "You" with Dyme-A-Duzin, and "Shorty Left" with a nice feature from North Carolina female rapper Rapsody who is signed to Wonder's label.  Scroll down below to see the video for this track.

Thanks to Luis at Amoeba San Francisco for this week's Top Six, which includes five new hip-hop albums and one new hip-hop book/CD package. That unique combo is The Common Knowledgy of The Entertainment Industry -- the neatly packaged, well presented, and most informative 80-page book with CD by Buckshot of legendary Brooklyn hip-hop group Black Moon / founder of Duck Down Records fame -- that was among the new releases showcased here on the Amoeblog Hip-Hop Rap Up a few weeks ago.

Number four this week on the chart is the brand new, long overdue (supposed to drop six months ago) latest offering from Slaughterhouse, the four-member rap supergroup comprised of Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, & Royce da 5' 9," who have been tipped to be signing with Eminem's Shady Records ever since they made a cameo in Em's "Forever" music video.

Special thanks to Amoeba Berkeley's DJ Inti for the latest hip-hop top five chart. You can catch Inti's DJ sets at Radio at 435 13th St near Broadway in Oakland every Thursday! This week he notes how the popular Medicine Show series from super-talented LA producer Madlib is back after taking a short two month break, not quite delivering the 12 releases promised in the twelve months of 2010. Not a problem, though, since the series is back with a bang with the guest-heavy Medicine Show #11: Low-Budget Hi-Fi Music on Stones Throw. This full-length hip-hop release makes up for the delay with amazing production plus guest spots from such talents as Guilty Simpson, MED, Oh No, AG, Strong Arm Steady, and Karriem Eligh Grey CrowRiggins. Premiering on this 28 track release is a Jaylib-era track taken from Madlib and J-Dilla's never-realized second album. The final part in the Medicine Show series is expected to drop within the next month.
