Gavin Sutherland trots out his Fudge Fingas alias once again for Linkwood's Firecracker recordings. The A-side finds FF using a busy, hyper-melodic 303-line to set the stage for a jazz-inflected progression not far from Floating Points' recent work. A similar technique is applied for his dubby treatment of Linkwood's "Secret Value". The closer is a beatless, ambient beauty, framing the whole EP as a study in gradual abstraction.
