Seven Pines (CD)
Daniel Bachman
Amoeba Review
10/23/2012
Fantastic solo guitar LP from one of the young and rising stars of the Post-Jack-Rose American Primitive landscape. Daniel Bachman, an accomplshed visual artist, has released over the last few years a Halloween basket full of his music on cassette, 7" and CDr. Both under his name and under the moniker, Sacred Harp. This release, his first for Tompkins Square, is his most accomplished to date. It strikes a more metallic note & tone on certain tracks (check out "Sun Over Old Rag") and the sound cascades throughout the other songs on this excellent recording. Bachman is a feel player and this recording showcases it clearly. Recommended.
