Media Condition: Very Good CD Comments: Japanese import in gatefold cardoard mini-LP sleeve. No obi strip. Review Badfinger's second release No Dice was the band's breakout album and their first to be recorded in a single session (their previous debut Magic Christian Music, was a blend of tracks from different sessions). The album is slightly inconsistent as a whole, yet contains some of the group's most memorable tunes. The first single from the album, "No Matter What," remains one of the best pop rock songs ever written and has been regarded by many to be the beginning of the power pop genre that would emerge in the mid- to late seventies. The album also includes their version of the self-penned "Without You" which was covered by Harry Nilsson and reached number 1 in 1972 (the song would also be covered by Mariah Carey with huge success). There are also strong nods to their heroes, The Beatles, with the excellent "Believe Me" and the acoustically driven "We're For the Dark." Badfinger proved to be quite the exceptional song crafters on this release and it remains the group's quintessential album. -Tiffany Anders		Buy $19.99
