Revolution In Motion (LP)

The Disco Biscuits
The Disco Biscuits have been melting faces with their unique blend of electronic music and disco for a long time now, but have found a new energy and it shows in the songs featured on this new album. Songs like "Twisted in the Road" and "Another Plan of Attack" prove once again that they are the kings of progressive psychedelic trance fusion. This album will have you dancin' and groovin' through its entirety. Definitely a "can't miss" album for this spring. "Revolution in Motion" comes out March 29th. Read more

Take it From the Dead (LP)

Acid Dad
This 2021 release from Brooklyn's Acid Dad will be seeing heavy rotation from me this summer. This album features a unique blend of the classic indie/alternative sound with elements of shoegaze, groove, and even a little bit of jam. Without a dull moment to be found and good vibes all around, this record is a great way to kick off any summer gathering with friends and family. Read more

Shredder Orpheus (BLU)

This is a fun one. It's shot gritty on the streets of Seattle without permits and the title translates the plot of the movie. A retelling of the Orpheus myth mixed with skateboard shredding and the aesthetic peppering of Sally Cruikshank/Forbidden Zone/Pee Wees Playhouse. Watch it with friends. Read more

Odds Against Tomorrow (BLU)

Harry Belafonte, Robert Ryan, Ed Begley, Shelly Winters AND Gloria Grahame star is this hate tinged, ill fated, and literally explosive noir directed by the always capable and underrated genre director Robert Wise. Also Modern Jazz Quartet does the score. If that doesn't sell the thing I don't know what will. Read more

Sunburn (LP)

Dominic Fike
I've been a long time fan of Dominic Fike ever since his rap days (which you can still find on YouTube!!). While his sophomore album includes reminisce of his Southern Florida rapper energy, it mainly focuses on his doubts, faults, pain, and sobriety since achieving the spotlight after 'Don't Forget About Me Demos' back in 2018 which contains his most streamed song '3 Nights'. Fike's live performances are so captivating I can't help but be eager to listen to what he has in store for us next -- and where this journey takes him. Read more

Black Celebration (CD)

Depeche Mode
Black Celebration marks Depeche Mode's initial deep dive into the dark, filled with the experimental electronic eroticism and industrial cacophony that catapulted the group to international stardom. The titular opening track serves as the shape of things to come, with the haunting, sultry tonality that permeates throughout the entirety of this musical masterpiece, like velveteen smoke from the end of a clove cigarette.
