More AfroLatin-laced, synth-heavy, electro-funk from the “time-traveling, multi-instrumentalist producer” Chico Mann. Irresistible dance-floor cuts full of passion and culture and message. Put on your disco suit and Mayan headdress, board the intergalactic pyramid, and bop to this.

Antibalas multi-instrumentalist Marcos Garcia channels ‘80s electropop and gives it an afro-latin twist on his fabulous new full-length, an even catchier set of songs that seem to emanate from a magical time-travelling dance party hosted by the Tom Tom Club, the B-52s and Debbie Deb. Burbling casios and clackety synthetic highlife blast you off to an outerspace spliff-cotheque, but they only set the scene for the intergalactically cute vocal turns of Annakalmia Traver and Kendra Morris. Even Garcia does a pretty good Stop Making Sense-era David Byrne when he takes the mic. A modern classic yep I said it!
