VINNIE ESPARZA (HELLA TIGHT/DIS-JOINT) DJ SET -- 1pm
For more than a decade, Vinnie Esparza has dedicated his life to the preservation and reinvention of funk. From his many DJ parties (Hella Tight, Dub Mission) to his label devoted to funky beats “Dis-Joint Records” Vinnie remains firmly entrenched on the frontlines of the funk. Vinnie's kicking off the celebration with an hour long set, so don't miss out!

DJ SMASH (NEW BREED/MOBILE GLOBAL) DJ SET -- 2pm
DJ Smash, a.k.a. Smash Hunter, has compiled and remixed releases for Blue Note Records and Instinct Jazz Records. Come by for his set of House, Nu-Jazz & soul.

JELLO BIAFRA LIVE AT THE INFO COUNTER -- 4pm
The political activist, co-founder of record label Alternative Tentacles, and former lead singer and songwriter for seminal punk band Dead Kennedys sits in at Amoeba SF’s Information counter from 4pm – 5pm. Stop by and get some excellent recommendations from this Bay Area legend.

V. VALE (RE/SEARCH PUBLICATIONS) PLAYS RECORDS -- 4pm
Writer, publisher, founder of RE/Search Publications (Incredibly Strange Music series!), and archivist of subculture since the late 1970’s plays his favorite records from 4pm - 5pm! Pick up a few selections from the Re/Search collection at Amoeba that day!

Veteran LIVE 105 DJ, creator of long-running club night Popscene, and the man behind B.F.D. DJs from his own personal vault of classics & current gems.
