Rachael Cantu
Best known for her evocative blend of indie folk rock delicately infused with distinctly powerful vocals, gentle melodies and heartfelt lyrics,
Rachael Cantu has the whole package. It's no wonder she's been aptly described as "something of a mix of The Pretenders' Chrissie Hynde, PJ Harvey, Sarah McLachlan, and Norah Jones." She's toured all throughout the US and Canada opening for B.B. King, Pat Benatar, Tegan & Sara, Ben Lee, Joan As Police Woman, and more. Her music has been featured on TV shows such as Private Practice, Pretty Little Liars, Royal Pains, and Degrassi just to name a few.Recently, Rachael, along with musician Harlan Silverman, released a studio project called Little Brutes, a seven song indie-pop EP that features irresistible melodies, infectious lyrics, and beautifully executed instrumentation.
Also check out her album Green Room Sessions, out on Ameoba Records!
Allison Weiss
Allison Weiss is an energetic 24-year-old with an electric guitar, an avid online following, and a
wholelot of feelings."I'm all about catchy, upbeat, feel-good music, but the one thing I seem to aways write about is heartbreak," she admitted to Billboard.com, "I say [my songs] sound like your saddest memories sung to the tune of your happiest."
Now performing with a full band, her live shows are louder and faster than ever, showcasing her unique brand of punk/folk-infused powerpop and knack for keeping the audience wanting more.
