Up-and-coming EDMer Robert DeLong one-ups Skrillex by singing pensive lyrics over his manic creations, roping in indie and club kids in one fell swoop. After pondering his youth in the clanging opening of “Global Youth,” he asks “Did I leave my life to chance? Or did I make you fucking dance?” The answer becomes clear once the beat drops and you can visualize a crowd of arms shoot for the ceiling.
