Electronic artist Blanck Mass (Benjamin John Power) presents his new album In Ferneaux in two parts, "Phase I" and "Phase II," exploring our sense of isolation in the pandemic. The music uses field recordings from travels to instill a sensation of being connected. "Starstuff," the separate single, starts out as an uneasy meditation -- perhaps on being stuck at home -- before finally breaking free into a dramatic, textured soundscape. Drawing on everything from industrial to ambient to techno, this is music that captures the tension of our current times.
